PRODUCT INFORMATION AND WARNINGS


Angel Spa products are made using high quality essential oils. The products you buy may not smell as strongly as certain products you buy from shops because these products often use artificial fragrances and/or essential oils produced to capture their aroma but losing the therapeutic benefits as a result.  


The oils added to Angel Spa products are purchased from reputable suppliers and added in effective but safe quantities to maximise their therapeutic benefit.


All of our base ingredients are purchased from genuine sources and our Dead Sea salt, for example, is of guaranteed bathing quality. All soap bases are guaranteed free from artificial or chemical additives such as parabens and sulfates and are fragrance/colour free.


Due to the properties of certain essential oils and the fact that they are absorbed into your blood stream, please note the following warnings:


If pregnant or breast feeding we recommend that you speak with your healthcare professional before using our products. The list below indicates where it is known to be unsafe.


Similarly, if you suffer from a heart condition, high blood pressure or epilepsy – speak with your healthcare professional before using our products. The list below indicates where it is known to be unsafe.


When using our products, avoid the eye area – rinse with cold water should your eyes become sore and seek medical help if your eyes become irritated for some time after use.


We obviously cannot predict or be held responsible if individual sensitivity or allergy results from using our products. If this is the case, please wash off the products immediately and seek medical advice.


In addition:


A number of our products contain almond oil. Please be aware and check contents if you have a nut allergy.



BRIEF INFORMATION ON ESSENTIAL OILS/FLOWERS USED IN OUR PRODUCTS


Calendula: promotes healing and has anti-inflammatory and weak antimicrobial activity. Great for abrasions, and skin infections such as psoriasis and eczema.

Cedarwood: good for greasy skin, acne and other skin irritations. It has a stimulating effect on the senses as an aphrodisiac and encourages improved breathing.

Chamomile: soothing and uplifting effect on the senses. Useful for skin irritation, joint and muscle pain as well as nervous and digestive discomfort. Slightly sedative. Avoid during early months of pregnancy.

Clary Sage: good for a variety of skin types – oily, irritated and mature. Has a balancing and cleansing effect on the emotions if you are stressed or in pain. Avoid with alcohol and during pregnancy.

Eucalyptus: a familiar aroma that helps ease breathing and sinuses. The oil is also good for soothing aches and pains and, irritated or damaged skin.

Geranium: highly beneficial for irritated or mature skin. Arguably one of the best all round oils for women, it is great for relaxation, particularly if you feel tense or stressed during menstruation or menopause.

Hyssop: a purifying oil which helps to relieve anxiety; good for bruises, inflammation and circulation and, loosening catarrh and congestion. Avoid during pregnancy or if suffering from high blood pressure or epilepsy.

Jasmine: good for all skin types including irritated and damaged. Stimulates and invigorates the senses helping to regain energy when tired, stressed or apathetic. Good for maintaining healthy breathing and inducing sleep in addition to being an effective aphrodisiac.

Lavender: has a balancing and purifying effect on the senses. Good for chest or stomach irritation or if feeling stressed and tense or having difficulty sleeping, particularly when related to menstrual discomfort.

Mandarin: a sweet mellow citrus aroma commonly used to relax and induce sleep. Effective on oily and damaged skin, it is also used to alleviate digestive problems and water retention. Can cause temporary sensitivity when used on the skin and is photosensitive - avoid going in the sun immediately after use.

May Chang: an uplifting and stimulating citrus oil that is good for many skin conditions, and as an insect repellent. Used for muscular aches and pains and viral infections. Can cause temporary sensitivity when used on the skin and is photosensitive - avoid going in the sun immediately after use.

Peppermint: a familiar sweet, cool aroma that penetrates and warms the airways, balancing breathing and bringing relaxation to an overactive mind. The oil has an uplifting effect on the senses when in pain and improves digestion.

Rose Otto: the finest rose oil available. Excellent for dry and mature skins; produces a beautiful fragrance that is great for balancing, relaxing and uplifting the mind and body when feeling stressed or sluggish. A well-known romantic and aphrodisiacal fragrance to help ignite passions when they are flagging!

Rosemary: good for dry and irritated skin. A rich, warm aroma that stimulates and invigorates the senses bringing renewed life and energy to the mind and body when feeling run down. Good for maintaining healthy blood. Avoid during pregnancy or if suffering from high blood pressure or epilepsy.

Tea Tree: excellent for cleaning and protecting the skin. A highly effective antiseptic and antifungal, is popular for use on infections and problem skin. Has a purifying effect on the senses helping to maintain healthy breathing and a strong immune system.

Ylang Ylang: good for mature skin and general skin care. A well-known aphrodisiac, its aroma helps to soothe and relax the senses particularly if your mind is racing, you are feeling tense and having difficulty sleeping.
